Meet Dr. Olubusola Gomes, MD
Care That Takes Its Time
I earned my medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, completed my internal medicine residency, and spent several years as a hospitalist before pursuing sleep medicine through a fellowship at Emory University.
Since then I have worked as a sleep medicine physician and Assistant Professor of Sleep Medicine, and contributed to national healthcare organizations and clinical guideline development. I started Successful Sleep and Wellness to practice the way I believe sleep care should work: individualized, unhurried, and centered on you.

What We Treat
More Than Sleep Apnea
Dr. Gomes evaluates and treats the full range of sleep disorders. If any of these sound familiar, a consultation is a good place to start.
Women’s Sleep Concerns
Women often have different apnea symptoms and are frequently underdiagnosed. Hormonal and midlife changes matter too.
Snoring or Gasping at Night
Loud snoring, pauses in breathing, or waking up choking can point to obstructive sleep apnea.
Trouble Falling or Staying Asleep
Chronic insomnia is treatable, and it needs more than a reminder to relax.
Exhausted After a Full Night
Persistent daytime sleepiness can signal hypersomnia, narcolepsy or undiagnosed apnea.
Restless, Uncomfortable Legs
An urge to move your legs in the evening that delays sleep may be restless legs syndrome.
A Body Clock That’s Out of Sync
Shift work, jet lag or a naturally late schedule can become a circadian rhythm disorder.

Questions
Before Your First Visit
Still unsure? Call (908) 340-0027 or send us a message and we’ll help you choose the right appointment.
Do you accept insurance?
We’re a cash-pay, out-of-network practice. This allows for longer appointments, personalized care and direct physician access. You pay at the time of service and can request documentation for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Do I need a referral?
In most cases, no referral is required.
Can I use HSA or FSA funds?
Many patients use HSA or FSA funds for out-of-network healthcare expenses. Please verify eligibility with your individual plan.
Do I need a sleep study?
Not always. Your evaluation determines whether testing is appropriate and which type fits your symptoms and history.
What if my home sleep study is negative?
Some patients need further evaluation or an in-lab sleep study, depending on symptoms, risk factors and clinical findings.
Do you treat insomnia?
Yes. We evaluate and manage insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, hypersomnia, restless legs syndrome, parasomnias and sleep-disordered breathing.
Why are women often underdiagnosed with sleep apnea?
Women frequently present with different symptoms than men, and their sleep disorders are often overlooked or attributed to something else. A personalized evaluation helps identify these differences.
